Overview

Menierly is a self-management toolkit for people living with Ménière's disease. This privacy policy explains how Virtual Integrity Pty Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Menierly application ("the App").

This policy is governed by the laws of Australia, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Information we collect

Information you enter into the App

The App allows you to record health-related information including:

We never transmit this information to ourselves or any third party. It is not accessible to us.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect from your use of the App: your name, location data, device identifiers or advertising IDs, usage analytics or crash reports, or any health or medical data from your device's health platform.

The App does not require an account, does not transmit your health data over the internet, and does not include any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.

Sensitive health information

The information you record in the App, including symptoms, attacks, medications, and dietary details, constitutes sensitive health information. We treat it accordingly.

We do not have access to, and do not hold, any personal or health information you record in the App. Your health data remains under your control at all times.

Because we never collect or transmit the health information you record in the App, it is not accessible to us under any circumstances.

How we hold your information

All data you enter into the App is saved using the platform's standard local storage on your device. This data:

If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data will be deleted from your device unless you have device backup enabled (in which case, copies of your data may persist in that backup until it is overwritten or deleted).

Data exports and sharing

We recommend using the Export function regularly to back up your data. Keeping a copy in a separate, secure location will protect your records if your device is ever lost, damaged, or replaced.

The App allows you to export your data as a PDF report or CSV file. These exports are generated entirely on your device. We have no access to any exported files.

If you choose to share an export with your healthcare provider or any other person, that is your decision alone. We are not involved in and have no visibility into any such sharing.

Once exported, you are responsible for the security of those files. If you share an export via email, messaging, or cloud storage, that sharing is governed by the privacy policies of those services.

If you contact us

If you contact us, we collect the information you choose to provide (such as your email address and message contents). Our forms are hosted on Google Forms and submissions are stored on Google's infrastructure, which may be located overseas. We use that information only to respond to your enquiry or consider your feedback. Google's privacy policy governs how that data is stored and managed. By submitting a form, you consent to your information being handled in accordance with Google's privacy policy.

Third-party services

The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics platforms, advertising networks, or cloud services, and does not send your health information to any third party. If you have device backup enabled, copies of your data may be included in your platform's backup. Access to that backup is governed by Apple's or Google's terms.

Within the App itself, no account or identity is required and your usage is not linked to you in any way.

If you choose to make an in-app purchase on Android, that transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. If you choose to make an in-app purchase on iOS, that transaction is processed by Apple's in-app purchase system. The respective platform's privacy policy governs any data collected during that process.

The App is distributed via the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Google's own privacy practices apply to your use of the Play Store and your Google account. Overseas disclosure

If you contact us through one of our forms, your submission is stored by Google and may be processed on overseas servers. As noted above, if you have Android Backup or iCloud Backup enabled, your App data may also be stored on overseas servers operated by Google or Apple as part of their backup infrastructure. Whether to enable that backup is your choice; the location and handling of those backups is governed by Apple's or Google's terms. Other than these, we do not disclose your personal information to any overseas recipients.

Access and correction of your information

Because we do not hold copies of the health information you record in the App, we cannot provide access to or correct it on your behalf. You have direct access to everything you have entered through the App at any time and can view, edit, or delete it as needed. If you have contacted us and would like us to access, correct, or delete that correspondence, please contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

We do not knowingly market the App to children or collect personal information from children. If you are a child, please do not use the App without the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Automated decision-making

Menierly does not use any automated decision-making processes. No computer program analyses your data to make decisions about you. Any insights displayed within the App are calculated locally on your device and presented for your personal reference only.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page, and the 'Last updated' date at the top of this document will be revised accordingly. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
